Privacy Policy
How we collect, use and protect personal information when you use this website.
Last updated: 8 October 2026
Who we are
Aligned Vision Ltd runs this website, alignedvisionmedia.co.uk, and the AV Store. We are the controller of the personal information collected through them, which means we decide how it is used and are responsible for it.
Aligned Vision Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales with company number 14011833. Our registered office is at 20-22 Wenlock Road, London N1 7GU.
This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it and the rights you have under UK data protection law, which is the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
If you have a question about this policy or about your information, email us at info@alignedvisionmedia.co.uk or call us on +44 7506 416602.
Information we collect and why
Messages and submissions
You can contact us through the form on our Contact page, and send a submission through the forms on the Top Up, The Upper Room, Cornerstone and LIVESTYLE pages. When you send a form we receive what you enter: your name, email address, phone number, the options you choose, any song link and your message.
We use this information to reply to you, to discuss any work you ask us about and to consider your submission. We rely on our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us. Where you ask about booking our services, we also rely on taking steps at your request before entering into a contract with you.
AV Store orders
When you check out from the AV Store, you enter your email address on our checkout page and tick a box to say that you want your download straight away. Our website sends your email address, the contents of your basket and your answer to Stripe to set up your payment. You then pay on Stripe’s secure payment page using Stripe Checkout. Your card details go to Stripe only. We never see or store your full card number.
With your order, we keep these details in our Stripe account:
- what you bought
- that you ticked the download box, when you ticked it and the wording you agreed to
- a random order code, which makes up your personal download link
Stripe emails your receipt to the address you gave at checkout. It confirms what you bought and the price, repeats the wording you agreed to and includes your download link. Anyone who has the link can download the files you bought, so keep it to yourself.
Stripe gives us the details we need to process and record your order, such as your email address, what you bought, the amount paid and whether the payment succeeded. When you open the order confirmation page or your download link, our website checks with Stripe that the order is paid and has not been refunded in full before it lets you download the files. Netlify’s logs of these checks and downloads include your order’s Stripe payment reference.
We use this information to confirm your order, to deliver your download, to help with any problem with your order and to keep the financial records the law requires. We rely on the contract with you and on our legal obligations.
Stripe also uses payment information for its own purposes, such as preventing fraud. Stripe’s privacy policy explains how: stripe.com/gb/privacy.
Visiting the website
This website is hosted by Netlify. When you visit a page, Netlify’s servers receive the technical information that every web request includes, such as your IP address, your browser type and the page requested, and keep it in server logs to deliver the website and protect it from misuse. We rely on our legitimate interest in running a secure website. Netlify’s privacy policy is at netlify.com/privacy.
Links to other services
Our website links to our Instagram and YouTube pages, to WhatsApp so you can chat with us and to Calendly so you can book a call. Nothing from these services loads on our pages. If you follow one of these links, you leave our website and that service handles your information under its own privacy policy. The same applies to the other websites we link to, for example in our blog.
Cookies and browser storage
We do not use analytics or advertising cookies, and we do not track you across other websites.
The AV Store uses your browser’s local storage to keep your basket, the email address you enter at checkout and a reference to your latest order. This keeps your basket as you move between pages, keeps your checkout details if you come back from Stripe’s payment page and lets the order confirmation page show what you bought. Once your order is confirmed, your basket, email address and order reference are removed from your browser. This information stays on your device. Your basket and email address are sent to us only when you check out. You can remove it at any time by clearing this website’s data in your browser settings.
When you buy a download, we set one cookie, called av_dl. We set it when you open the order confirmation page or your download link, and only after we have checked with Stripe that your order is paid. It holds your order’s Stripe payment reference and the names of the files you bought, with a signature so that it cannot be changed. It lets your browser download those files. It lasts 6 hours. Your browser sends it only when it asks for one of the files, and the scripts on our pages cannot read it. If it runs out, open your download link again to get a new one.
Because this storage and this cookie are strictly necessary for the shopping, checkout and download service you have asked for, they do not need your consent under paragraph 4 of Schedule A1 to the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003.
Our fonts, images and videos are stored on this website, so loading a page does not send your information to font or media services run by other companies.
Stripe sets its own cookies on its checkout page, where it uses them to process payments securely and prevent fraud. Services you visit through links on our website, such as Instagram, YouTube and WhatsApp, set cookies under their own policies.
As we do not use any optional cookies, there are no cookie settings to change on this website. You can view and delete cookies and stored website data at any time in your browser settings.
Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the companies that help us run this website and the AV Store:
- Netlify, which hosts the website, stores the messages sent through our forms, and runs the code that sets up your payment with Stripe and delivers your download
- Stripe, which processes AV Store payments, holds our order records and emails your receipt
We may also share information when the law requires us to.
Transfers outside the UK
Netlify and Stripe may process personal information outside the UK, including in the United States. When they do, they protect it with safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, as described in their privacy policies.
How long we keep your information
We keep messages and submissions for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry or submission and any work that follows from it. We keep order and payment records for as long as UK tax and accounting rules require. These records include your download consent and your order code. When we no longer need information, we delete it.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete
- ask us to delete your information
- ask us to restrict how we use your information
- object to us using your information where we rely on our legitimate interests
- ask us to transfer information you gave us to you or to another organisation, where we use it to carry out a contract with you
To use any of these rights, email info@alignedvisionmedia.co.uk. We will respond within one month. The Information Commissioner’s Office explains these rights in more detail at ico.org.uk/for-the-public.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have used your information, please email info@alignedvisionmedia.co.uk so we can put it right. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days and tell you the outcome, as section 164A of the Data Protection Act 2018 requires.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK regulator for data protection. You can complain online at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or call the ICO helpline on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we use personal information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
